Together, We Give
Together, We Give (TWG), formerly known as Adopt a Family, is a gift-giving program that connects individuals served by the Alameda County Social Services Agency (ACSSA) with staff donors. Families can submit a holiday wish list, and participating County staff donors may choose to fulfill those wishes.
Following a successful relaunch in December 2025, this year's program is taking an exciting new step forward with an earlier, mid-year launch. By beginning in the summertime, we can support Alameda County residents during a pivotal time of year while also reducing overlap with traditional holiday giving campaigns. This shift allows the program to reach families when needs often increase, but resources can be limited.
This year's launch is especially noteworthy as TWG expands its reach through new County partnerships. Both the County Information Technology Department (ITD) and Child Support Services are joining ACSSA in supporting this effort, broadening the program's visibility, capacity, and overall community impact. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to coming together across departments to uplift the residents we collectively serve.
This is more than a giving program. It's a reflection of who we are as a County: compassionate, connected, and committed to strengthening the communities we serve.
